| The newest addition to the Tideflats
waterfront is Hall's Seafood Shack. This is a Bar Mills Waterfront
Willy's/Trackside Jacks kit. The kit was built fairly close to instructions
with a few touches and details added to better reflect a more modern
business. This kit was really a fun little project. This was my
first Bar Mills kit, and I would highly recommend them based on
my experience here.

Additional details include a metal roof in place of the wooden
shakes included with the kit. Mr. Hall had decided long ago a more
durable roof was needed in the harsh saltwater environment. All
the signage was done on my computer and then printed out to fit.
The Pepsi machine was also done on the computer and wrapped around
a piece of woodstock trimmed to the appropriate size. I also added
gutters and downspouts..

All other details were parts fabricated or found in my scrap box.
The customer entering the store with the open door provides a nice
touch of "movement" and also allows better visibility
inside the structure. The interior has been detailed and provisions
have been made to wire the structure both inside and out. In the
picture below, you can just make out the end of one of the wires
that will provide power to the lights of the structure under the
piers on the left-hand side. I still need to install several more
lights like the one over the second floor deck door.
