Blue Star Ready Mix & Specialty Products was kitbashed and scratch built from several kits. A Walthers Medusa Cement Kit, as well as parts from a modern coal flood loader kit were used to represent the storage silos and unloading shed. The main building was scratch built from black foamcore, matt board and door castings and numerous details parts from the scrap box. The final weathering has been done to the structure and the chain link security fence that surrounds the plant has been completed. The spur track leading to the unloading shed has also been "treated" with a liberal dosing of light grey Bragdon weathering powder. This simulates the concrete dust that has settled onto the surroundings from the unloading shed processes.

This facility receives both dry cement and aggregate by rail. In addition to providing ready mix concrete, It manufactures concrete block, and concrete highway barriers.
